About the Doctor
Dr. Frank R. Carella founded Carella Chiropractic in 1969. Dr. Carella grew up in Kansas City. He attended Rockhurst High School and Metropolitan Junior College. He was drafted in the Army but did not serve because the Army doctors found he had a structural lumbar dysfunction. This led him to investigate Chiropractic for health care and for a career. Dr. Carella attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City and interned at Spears Chiropractic Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Carella returned to Kansas City and established his first practice at 6516 Independence Avenue.
In 1976, Dr. Carella represented the United States at The International Chiropractic Conference in Rome. Known as "The Gentle Chiropractor", Dr. Carella was a featured lecturer several times at the Parker Chiropractic Research Foundation in Dallas. He was featured guest on Radio and ABC TV's Kaleidoscope and in The Kansas City Star.
In 1980, Dr. Carella moved the Carella Chiropractic office to its present location in Gladstone, Missouri. During the eighties and nineties, the office was a training center for new chiropractic graduates. As the millennium arrived, Dr. Carella founded the Musicians Clinic, offering free health care for musicians without insurance. Medical Laser to stop smoking was added as a separate service in 2007. Dr. Carella is currently attending Harvard Medical School Post Graduate Seminars.
Professionally, Dr. Carella is a diplomat of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, a charter fellow of the Menninger Foundation, a former staff member of the Acupuncture Society of America and holds memberships or has been a member of: The British Guild of Drugless Practitioners, American Academy of Psychology and Medicine, Professional Hypnosis Society of America, The American Academy of Preventive Medicine, The International Academy of Clinical Acupuncture, F.I.A.C.A., American Chiropractic Association, and the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association.
Publications
Dr. Carella wrote "The Manual of Hypnosis" text book in 1975. In 2006, Dr. Carella was a contributing author of the book "Neck Pain, Neck, Pain: You Don't Want It, You Don't Need It".

Dr. Carella is a member of the Gladstone chamber of commerce (past president), past president of The Northland Optimist. He is a member of the Unico National and the National Italian American foundation. Dr. Carella is a former member of the Gladstone Park Board.
